One step, two step - no more

Riley is really keen to start walking. As this SHORT clip shows she takes a step or two, but is getting really brave, and trusting...

She is also very aware of the video camera so getting anything on film is quite difficult. She on a few occasions tonight took two steps on command.

First Swim

Taking advantage of the improved weather we decided to let Riley have her first swim. The water was 24 degrees, but I still felt cold.

Riley had no complaints though and really seemed to enjoy the experience.

Monkey Climbing

After nearly two weeks of rain, today was a nice day (for a while).

Riley really loves being outside, so we put her costume on and let her play in the "bird bath" outside. She still loves the water too.

She has also decied that she can climb up things... So we have to be on the lookout all the time. This is just an example of what she can do.

Look ma, no hands

Well, we can stand if we want to. The bin proved to be too much of an attraction and Riley eventually learned how to open it.

She then sttod with no support for a second or two, and has done this outside quite a bit.

She seems to be happier standing on the grass, maybe knowing that the grass is softer than the hard tiled floor.

Almost walking

Riley has now advanced to the "walking trolley". She is quite good at it, but has no idea about steering, so gets caught in corners all the time. She seems to have picked up that she needs to move the trolley, so shoves it around a bit.

She has even taken a few steps on her own since this picture, normally only about two steps though.

Helping Hands

A while ago we bought Riley a swing from the Baby Fair. When we got home and started putting it together she couldn't help but get involved, climbing over and through everything.

She still enjoys the swing, but wants to get out sooner, having better things to do, like investigate around the house.
